"description": "There are more new ROAs in South Asia, hence, RPKI Valid BGP routes continue to increase in the region. In December, the RPKI Valid routes for all the 9 countries (covered by the project) increased to 52%. It'd be 84% if India is excluded. However, India is consistently improving with 41% of RPKI Valid routes at this moment (1% increment compared to last month). Similarly, Myanmar (60%) and Pakistan (85%) also have a rise of 1%. Besides, with an increment of 2%, Bangladesh's Valid routes reaches to 88% now. Overall, 2020 was a great year for South Asia in terms of RPKI adoption.",

"description": "November has been an amazing month for my Fellowship project. With the progress of RPKI valid prefixes in almost all the 9 countries that I am working on, India and Afghanistan are well ahead of others compared to the previous month. India has now 41% valid prefixes which was about 32% in Oct. And, Afghanistan is now 49% compared to 43% in last month. All the 9 countries together has about 52% valid prefixes which was only 45% in last month. The number becomes 83% if India is excluded from the calculation. Over all, there has been a great progress in terms of RPKI deployment in the region.",

"description": "Repairing Innovation: A Study of Integrating AI in Clinical Care, by Madeleine Clare Elish and Elizabeth Anne Watkins, reveals the nature of repair work required to integrate an AI system into clinical health care. Elish and Watkins chronicle the integration of Sepsis Watch through a sociotechnical lens: one that acknowledges the human labor required to harmonize a technical system with existing organizational and social structures. The integration of an AI system creates breakages in social structures that must be repaired in order for the technology to work as intended.",

The event was supposed to be in Fiji, however, due to the pandemic, it became an online event. I along with several other NSRC colleagues conducted a 2-day Network Management and Monitoring workshop. About 50 participants joined the hands-on training. We taught the installation and configuration of open source network management tools. We had the virtual lab running where the participants could practice several configurations and lab activities. Over all, it was great workshop conducted online.",

The 3-day hands-on training was on Domain Name System (DNS) and DNS Security Extension (DNSSEC). About 120 network engineers participated in the online training. I talked about DNS basics, DNS vulnerabilities, Transaction Signature and DNSSEC deployment process along with practical labs. The sessions were very interactive and participants were very engaging. There were session quizzes at the end of each session. Overall, it was a very successful training.",
